Experimental Operation of the CA
The WIDE Project moCA working group (henceforth "WG") is experimentally operating a certification authority (CA). (reference: about moCA experiments) moCA stands for "member oriented CA" and is a CA tailored to the needs of the WIDE members.
Installing WIDE ROOT CA Digital Certificate
In order to use digital certificates issued in moCA WG, a certificate for "WIDE ROOT CA" has to be installed in your Web browser or email client first. For installation procedure, please refer to manuals of each software.
- WIDE ROOT CA's DN (Distinguished Name): C=JP, O=WIDE Project, CN=WIDE ROOT CA 02
- WIDE ROOT CA's certificate: wideroot-cacert_4096.cer

To the Members of WIDE
- Re-issuing Your WIDE Member Certificate
- WIDE Server Certificates
Your WIDE Member Certificate is sent to the email address used to register as a WIDE member, either at registration time or in early June every other year. Should you require the certificate to be re-issued, please contact moca-key-req(at)wide.ad.jp using the email address registered at wide@wide.
A WIDE Server Sertificate is a server certificate issued to a WIDE member upon request. Any WIDE member may make a request for a server certificate. This server certificate may be used for a TLS/SSL server, which for example, could perform user authentication using WIDE Member Certificates. To request a server certificate, please contact moca-key-req(at)wide.ad.jp with your contact phone number, using the email address registered at wide@wide. An email with a S/MIME digital signature would help to decrease the time from request to issuance.
